The Lima Symphony Orchestra has announced details of the 2024-2025 season. High-profile guest artists and conductors, new music, symphonic arrangements of pop and rock hits, and favorite repertoire classics will be part of the upcoming season, which begins in October.
Season subscriptions are on sale; tickets for individual concerts will be available August 1.

Featuring Tracy Silverman, electric violin
This event offers a fusion of progressive rock ‘n’ roll and classical music through Silverman’s own avant-garde, yet lyrical compositions. Fall in love again with the romantic Romeo and Juliet Suite by Prokofiev, this time with a happy ending.
Brahms and Water Music - Friday, November 8, 2024 at 7:30 PM
Featuring the Lima Symphony Chorus
A program for kings and queens: The LSO will share the stage with the Lima Symphony Chorus for Handel’s regal Water Music and choral Anthems such as “Zadok the Priest” and “The King Shall Rejoice.” The program concludes with Brahms’ pastoral Symphony No. 2.
Bells, Brass & Bows - Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 7:30 PM
Celebrate the holidays with Bells, Brass & Bows: The LSO will bring cherished Christmas films to life. Immerse yourself in a timeless representation of historical classical concerts as the symphony performs alongside the magnificent sounds of the pipe organ. Performing on the newly restored organ in the exquisite St. Augustine Church in Minster, the Lima Symphony welcomes guest artist organist Jared Post for an evening of organ and orchestral works by candlelight.
Family Concert: Symphonic Safari - Sunday, February 2, 2025
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Bring your whole family on a “Symphonic Safari” as the LSO presents a multimedia production of animal-themed works. Witness animals come to life through a choreographed feature of life-sized animal puppets set to vibrant music. Journey from the Wild West to the Midwest with Copland’s Billy the Kid Suite and selections from his opera The Tender Land. But what is the American sound without the blues! Concluding the journey is America’s favorite blues-classical fusion: Gerwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.
