The Ada summer swim team swam at Bluffton, and also against Westside in a Western Ohio Aquatic League makeup tri-meet Tuesday evening, June 20.
Ada at Bluffton was postponed twice last week due to unseasonably cool and rainy conditions, thus the meet was combined into a three-team outing.
Bluffton won the combined team event convincingly, sweeping the boys and girls dual meets. Westside finished second and undermanned Ada was third. (Results sheet is attached HERE.)
The Sardines beat Ada overall, 4,454 to 1,476 points. Bluffton beat the Ada boys 2,210 to 768, and the hosts defeated the Alligator girls 2,244 to 708.
Westside beat the Gators 2,385 to 1,615 in the combined final team score. The Waves edged the Ada boys 1,067 to 866 in their dual meet, while the Westside girls beat the Gators 1,317 to 749.
“We swam well but were drastically out-numbered,” said the Ada head coach.
The Sardines also whipped Westside 4,393.5 to 2,088.5 overall. Bluffton bested the Waves 2,204 to 902 in the boys meet, and took their girls dual 2,189.5 to 1,186.5.
Gator Luke Harriger touched first IN five individual events in the 7-8 division.
Landry Harriger won four individual races in the boys 9-10 age group.
Ada’s Kyleigh Nau won three races in the girls eight and under division, a night after winning four at Wapakoneta.
