Russell W. Ludwig was unanimously nominated for another term on the Hardin County Board of Elections by the Hardin County Democrat Executive Committee members at their January meeting at Henry's Restaurant.
Ludwig's name was submitted to the Ohio Secretary of State for his appointment to the term beginning March 1, and ending on Feb. 28, 2017.
The committees endorsed State Representative Ted Letson for Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. All statewide candidates have now been endorsed by the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees.

I hope this email finds you somewhere where it is warm. Weather like this reminds me of when I was younger and I ventured out to the barn each evening to do chores when it was extremely cold.
Shannon Weissling took this photo and we've posted it here. It's a "sundog," which shows a phantom sun. This condition's scientific name is parhelion. It's created by an atmospheric phenomenon that creates bright spots of light in the sky, often on a luminous ring or halo on either side of the sun. Sundogs may appear as a colored patch of light to the left or right of the sun, 22° distant and at the same distance above the horizon as the sun, and in ice halos. They can be seen anywhere in the world during any season, but they are not always obvious or bright.
Due to blowing and drifting snow in Northwest Ohio, the Ohio Northern swimming and diving teams, the indoor track and field teams and the men's and women's basketball teams have been forced into making schedule changes.
The men's and women's indoor track and field teams will not be travelling to the Defiance Invitational on Saturday.
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will now hold a virtual meet with Case Western Reserve. Each team will swim the meet as scheduled in their own pool, exchange times electronically and score the meet as usual.
