Active in Varsity Singers, band, engineering, National Honor Society

Nathan Hurtig, Ada High School senior, is the Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative student of the month.

Nathan is activity in Varsity Singers, marching band, engineering, National Honor Society and is a recent semi-finalist in the National Merit Scholarship program.

He is the son of Mike and Julie Hurtig.

Mid-Ohio Energy Cooperative is an electric cooperative with customers in the Ada school district. The student of the month is selected by the student’s participation and activities in Ada schools and the community.

The September student of the month was Nora Dellifield.

Ada schools menu is now available for October. 

Due to fog, Ada school is on a 3-hour delay schedule. The school day will still end at the normal dismissal times of 3:10 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
 

Ada Presbyterian Church will host a public flu shot clinic in October, according to Kelsey Ralston of the Kenton Hardin Health Department. The clinic is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the church on South Main Street.

Dean Paul: "I thought it was a really solid performance"

The Ohio Northern football team put on an offensive showcase, featuring a plethora of big plays, its first home game of the 2019 season Saturday at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The Polar Bears downed Otterbein 45-35 to improve to 2-2 on the season and 2-1 in Ohio Athletic Conference play. 

"I thought it was a really solid performance," ONU head coach Dean Paul said. "We knew Otterbein was going to be a good test. After a disappointing loss last week, it was important for us to have a good week of practice and come out strong against a quality team, and we did that."

Orange cones popped up in Ada in September. Here are cones on Main Street. They recently came off State Route 81. The cones are in preparation for a major street project coming in October.
