The theme “S.OS.” effectively portrays the sad state of affairs of a group of people who become marooned as castaways on an island. The dramatic music builds. The musicians and flag members act out their dilemma. The scenery of beaches and palm trees adds to the reality.
The 12th annual County Line Church of the Brethren car show and chicken barbecue is from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 7, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Rd, Harrod.

The Ada senior Citizens annual picnic will be at noon on Wednesday, June 27, at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main.
Jim Boedicker will provide the entertainment. Chicken sandwiches, drinks and table service will be provided. Those attending may bring one or two dishes to share.
Ada area residents 55 years and over are invited to join the group for a $10 annual membership fee and participate in the twice-monthly meetings and activities.

Ohio Northern junior track All-American Emily Richards (Delaware/Hayes) is set to compete in the 2018 United States Outdoor National Track & Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday, June 21.
The 9-time NCAA Division III Champion, 13-time All-American and two-time Academic All-American will be making her second appearance at the yearly American championships meet and will run the women's 800-meter run.
Richards enters the meet ranked fifth nationally and 48th in the world in the event with a season-best time of 2:00.67, which she ran at the Music City Classic in Nashville in June.
An investigation into drug trafficking by the Hardin County Crime Task Force resulted in a search warrant being executed at a residence at 323 Willeke Ave. in Ada., on Tuesday.
The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of components of a methamphetamine lab and a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Marijuana and prescription pills were also seized.
A car was impounded and returned to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Two adult males and one adult female were detained and later released, pending further investigation.
