Meet Dakota Gossman, F&M prince candidate

Meet Dakota Gossman, 10, and a prince candidate for Ada Farmers' and Merchants' Picnic. He is the son of Matt and Katie Gossman of Ada. He was on vacation wwhen the group photo of prince and princess candidates was taken last week.

Prince and princesses for a day!

Children enjoyed a prince and princess tea with fabulous food and entertainment held at The Inn at ONU on Sunday afternoon.

Backpack blessings July 30 at USV

Alger First United Methodist Church will sponsor a Backpack Blessings from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, July 30, at USV Schools.

Alger Assembly of God Church is cooperating with the project.

Schools supplies such as boxes of tissues, index cards, markers, and pens, will be passed out to USV children.

Cave Quest VBS theme at Alger Assembly of God

Children sing songs and do hand motions during Alger Assembly of God VBS on Monday evening. About 120 youngsters and helpers were on hand for "Cave Quest" which runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through Friday.

Jane Hoffman memorial service 11 a.m. July 30

Jane Hoffman, age 89, died on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born on November 11, 1926 in Lima, Ohio to Francis and Lucille (Razor) Blosser who preceded her in death.  On October 11, 1947 she married Dallas Eugene Hoffman and he died on November 24, 2010.
