McCOMB - Visiting Ada whipped McComb 9-3 in non-league softball action Tuesday on an unseasonably warm evening.
Ada improved to 2-1 this season with the convincing win, while the Lady Panthers dropped to 1-5 with the defeat.
Senior Leona Dalton pitched a complete game and socked a home run, her third of the season, to lead the Lady Bulldogs to victory. She also drove in three runs.
"We did what we needed to do by putting the ball in play and reducing our errors to one," said Ada head coach Rebecca Dicke. "Dalton threw a wonderful game with 11 strikeouts and no walks."

As we move into the early months of spring 2021, things look quite different than they had a year ago.
The masking and social distancing has stuck around (and rightfully so), but we are moving forward with the goal of regaining that sense of normalcy that may mean something different for each one of us.
In the past few months, we have entered a new stage of this ever-changing and unprecedented pandemic with the introduction of vaccines authorized for emergency use.
