Charlie Brown comes to the Ada High School stage as the school presents the musical “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown!”
Performances are in the school auditorium at 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 30, and May 1, and at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 2. Masks are required.
The production is based on the popular comic strip “Peanuts.”

COLUMBUS GROVE - The Ada boys and girls track and field teams competed at the annual 13-school Columbus Grove Invitational meet Friday.
Anna won the girls team title with 139 points, while host Columbus Grove took second with 94 points. The Ada girls finished tied for ninth with a dozen points.
Grove captured the boys crown with 178 points. Anna was a distant second with 77 points, while the Bulldog boys came in 12th with two points.
Ada senior Brenna Hissong posted the top purple and gold showing on the day by finishing second in the 400 meter dash.

After a one-year absence, Ada High School’s prom returns on Saturday, April 24. The event is scheduled for Crimson Lane and it follows all current CDC and Hardin County Health Department event guidelines.
Due to the current guidelines the Grand March will not take place this year. Only prom guests with tickets and event workers are permitted at the venue.
The prom committee offers a thank you to everyone for helping make this event safely happen in support of Ada students.
A king and queen will be announced following voting at the prom. Voting takes place as student enter Crimson Lane. Each of the candidates is an Ada HS senior.

ADA - The homestanding Ada baseball team crushed county rival Ridgemont 12-2 in a run-rule shortened, non-conference mismatch Friday evening.
Ada's record improved to 3-5 overall with the win. Ridgemont dropped to 3-5 with the defeat.
The Bulldogs led 2-1 after the opening frame. Ada tacked on five more runs to build their lead to 7-1 after four innings. Speedy senior Jacob Poling scored the seventh run after scoring from second base on an infield hit and error.
Ridgemont scored a run in the top of the fifth. With two out, an error, stolen base and a bloop single to left field brought home the second Gopher run.

ADA - Host Ada whipped Hardin County rival Ridgemont 10-0 in a non-conference softball game Friday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-4 overall with the victory. The Lady Gophers dropped to 6-2 with the five-inning, run-rule shortened defeat.
"Leona Dalton pitched well, she was throwing hard," said Ada head coach Rebecca Dicke. "We put the ball in play, moved runners, and put pressure on the defense. We took advantage of their errors and created chaos on the bases."
Dalton struck out 12 of the 15 Gophers she retired over five innings. She walked one and allowed no runs in the complete game shutout.
