Ada Quizzers finish 4th, Elita Smith captures quote-off

Ada First Presbyterian’s Bible Quizzers captured 4th place in national competition at Bethel College July 5-7 and Ada’s Elita Smith won the “quote-off,” an event for individuals.

A second Ada quizzer, Jeremiah Smith, came in second in the one-on-one, another competition for individuals.

The quote-off is similar to a spelling bee, according to Ada quizzer Noah Allen, except the participants must recite a Bible verse or verses verbatim rather than spell a word correctly.

Four Ada quizzers – Will Allen, Carissa Miglin, and Elita and Jeremiah Smith – were named to the East Central District’s All-Star team.
