All academic programs, except law, at Ohio Northern University will begin on-campus instruction on Monday, Aug. 10, with classes held on Labor Day and during the traditional two-day fall break of Oct. 12-13.
That announcement is on the ONU website.
The term will end with a final examination week from Nov. 16-20.
Students studying in the College of Law will start on Monday, Aug. 24, concluding on Friday, Nov. 20, and complete their two-week final examination period remotely.
According to the announcement: “This revised calendar is one way in which the university is following guidance from the CDC regarding the coronavirus”.
ONU will conclude all fall semester in-person instruction prior to Thanksgiving, before the flu season ramps up. Additionally, this calendar eliminates breaks during the fall semester when students may incur additional risk of infection due to departing campus to many destinations and returning to campus after a short time away.
