Harry Lee "Pap" Moore was a welder

Harry Lee "Pap" Moore, 91, went to his Heavenly Home on February 25, 2022, following a valiant battle with a sudden and short illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. 

Bulldog Baumgartner advances to state swim finals

Two Ada High School swimmers competed at the Div. II state swim meet preliminaries at Canton's C.T. Branin Natatorium Thursday, February 24.

Ada freshman Lily Baumgartner participated in two races at Canton. She advances to the B finals in both events while gaining valuable experience as one of the meet's youngest swimmers.

Baumgartner finished 16th in the state preliminary 100-yard butterfly heats out of 24 swimmers. She qualified for the B Finals race on Friday. The top eight finishers made it to the A finals race.

Baumgartner swam the 100 butterfly in 58.56. She was seeded 13th amid the 24-girl field in the 100 fly.  

March 21 Blood Drive in Ada

An upcoming Ada blood drive will provide area residents with an opportunity to respond to a national blood shortage.

From 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on Monday March 21, 2022 there will be a Blood Drive at Community Health Professionals-Ada Visiting Nurses.

Bulldog Murphy makes honorable mention All-NWC

Ada senior Cayden Murphy was named honorable mention All-Northwest Conference in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Murphy led Ada in scoring and rebounding as the Bulldogs finished 4-19 overall this season, and 0-8 in the NWC.

Senior Mason Brandt of Leipsic was named NWC Player of the Year.

Todd Boblitt of league co-champion Bluffton was voted NWC Coach of the Year. Crestview tied the Pirates at 7-1 for the league title.

Spencerville finished third at 6-2, followed by Columbus Grove (5-3), Leipsic (4-4), AE and Lincolnview (3-5) in a tie for sixth, Delphos Jefferson (1-7) and Ada (0-8).
