Clum Rd. closure on July 12

The Allen County Engineer Office has announced that Clum Rd. between Napoleon and Hardin Roads will be closed on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. for roadway berming.

Emergency vehicles will have access.

Highway Patrol investigating fatal crash on State Route 117

PERRY TOWNSHIP, Allen County – The Lima Post of Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on July 10, 2022, at approximately 5:09 p.m. The crash occurred on State Route 117 near Lost Creek Boulevard in Perry Township, Allen County.

Blanchard Valley Health System to host virtual “Live & Learn”

A virtual presentation of the Blanchard Valley Health System “Live & Learn” educational series will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, addressing the importance of annual exams for women. The presentation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and can be viewed by tuning into the BVHS corporate Facebook page. 

William Kose, MD, vice president of special projects at BVHS, will host this event with special guest Crystal McGrain, APRN-CNP, a nurse practitioner with Blanchard Valley Obstetrics & Gynecology. The presentation will discuss the health benefits of annual exams for women of all ages.

Gator boys 3rd at WOAL title meet;  Ada's Baumgartner sets 2 meet records

The Ada boys summer swim team finished a strong third at the 40th annual Western Ohio Aquatic League championship meet Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9, in the Wapakoneta Community Pool.

Lady Alligator Lily Baumgartner captured first in three events. She broke a pair of eight-year old meet records previously held by Emily Murphy in the 100 individual medley and the 50 butterfly. She also swam a leg for the winning Ada 15-18 medley relay quartet, and finished second to teammate Claire Kemmere in the 100 freestyle on Saturday.
