Downtown Ada art gallery celebrates 7th year

Friday, July 8 is the 7th anniversary for Ada's Gallery for the Arts, 115 S Main St. The gallery is a project devised and run by retired art teacher Ruth Roider, who opened the shop when she was downsizing and needed a place to do her own art work.

Roider operates the gallery as a non-profit, cash-only showcase and sales outlet for local artists. She pays the rent and doesn’t take a commission. Every penny goes back to the artists.

Yield reports range from 76-105 bushels/acre; moisture content was 12.5%-17.5% with good test weights and good grain quality. Overall it was a good year for wheat with good market prices.
