Dicke College of Business Administration honors three with Pinnacle Awards

The Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University honored three individuals with Pinnacle Awards at a banquet held March 14.

This prestigious award, which honors individuals who have made the highest commitment to the business college, was given to Eugene A. Beeler (posthumously), Joanne Griffith Lipski, and Mark J. Palmer.

“We wanted an avenue to publicly say ‘thank you’ to the people who have made significant and sustained gifts to the college,” said Jim Fenton, dean of the Dicke College of Business Administration; “Through their generosity, they’ve had a tremendous and transformative impact on our students and the business college generally.”

Panel discussion on ‘The Crisis in Ukraine’ March 25 at ONU

The Ohio Northern University Center for Democratic Governance and Rule of Law presents a panel discussion on “The Crisis in Ukraine: What is Happening and What Does it Mean?” in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room on Tuesday, March 25, at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

ONU adds three to football coaching staff

The Ohio Northern football program has added three new coaches to its staff and has made several position coaching changes for the fall of 2014, 11th-year head coach Dean Paul announced.

Former ONU assistant coach Glenn Scheutzow returns to serve as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, E.J. Henderson comes to ONU from Urbana to coach the wide receivers and be the co-offensive coordinator and Pat Lambert comes from Cincinnati to serve as strength and conditioning coach.

National Ag Day, March 25

The Agriculture Council of America (ACA) will host National Agriculture Day on March 25, 2014. This will mark the 41st anniversary of National Ag Day which is celebrated in classrooms and communities across the country. The theme for National Ag Day is "Agriculture: 365 Sunrises and 7 Billion Mouths to Feed."

The ACA will host major events in the nation’s capital including the Mix-and-Mingle Luncheon and the National Celebration of Agriculture Dinner. Additionally, the ACA will bring approximately 100 college students to Washington to deliver the message of Ag Day to the Hill.

Mustard Seed Cafe celebrates first anniversary this weekend

Mustard Seed Café opened for business March 22, 2013 in the old train depot at 562 N. Main St., Bluffton.  After serving thousands of meals and sharing many happy occasions with local and distant guests, the café would like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support.
