Rotary bicycle riders coming through Ada on Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad tour

The bikers are headed to Ada.

Beginning Saturday, June 21, bicycle riders from Rotary District 6600 will ride throughout the district to raise awareness and money for M.E.S.A. (Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad), a project started in the district in 1981 that has grown and is supported by all Rotary clubs in the district.

On Wednesday, June 25, the group will travel through Ada as they ride from Findlay-Upper Sandusky-Ada-Lima.

This winter the Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) Board of Trustees unanimously approved plans to build a $4.25 million comprehensive regional cancer center, to adjoin the radiation therapy center on the EasternWoods campus in Findlay. 

Mary Clark was a 1943 Ada High School graduate

Mary Elizabeth Clark, 88, died on June 16, 2014, at 6:47 pm at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

Mary was born August 26, 1925 in McGuffey, Ohio, to the late John M. and Merle M. (Lewis) Canaan. On April 29, 1944, she married James A. "Cappy" Clark who preceded her in death on April 13, 1981.

Mary retired from Triplett Corporation, Bluffton.  She was a 1943 graduate of Ada High School. She was a member of the Beaverdam Church of Christ. Mary was a volunteer for the Bluffton Hospital Auxiliary and worked at the Shannon Theatre in Bluffton following retirement.

Next Maple Crest Sunday buffet is June 22

The next Sunday buffet at Maple Crest Senior Living of Bluffton is June 22, according to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest. The buffet menu includes Monterey chicken with salsa, baked herbed salmon, wild rice, a vegetable medley, dinner rolls, strawberry pie and coffee and iced tea.

The buffet is in the Patio Room at Maple Crest from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. It is open to all adults 55 and older at a cost of $7.50 per person.

Due to the overwhelming response, reservations are required for persons who plan to attend. Call Maple Crest at 419-358-1015 for reservations. Limited seating is available.
