Options for resuming future clinics are being explored

Ohio Northern University’s state-sponsored COVID-19 mobile mass vaccination clinics scheduled in Hardin, Logan, Union, Marion Crawford and Wyandot counties have been paused in accordance with the State of Ohio’s action related to the CDC and FDA recommendations Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine administration. Options for resuming future clinics are being explored.
ADA — The Ohio Northern baseball team swept an Ohio Athletic Conference double header from Heidelberg on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon at Wander Field.
The Polar Bears (6-11 overall, 5-8 OAC) won the opener 10-9 with a run in the bottom of the seventh and took the nightcap 4-2 in a rain-shortened game that had its own late-inning drama.
The Student Princes fall to 10-8, 7-7.
Northern led the first game 9-3 entering the seventh inning and appeared on cruise control, having allowed only one HU runner to second base since the second inning.
Dr. David Veit, DDS, dentist in the Ada Family Dentistry practice, 4350 State Route 235, Ada, has retired.
Following 40 years of dentistry, he retired on April 9.
Dr. Veit graduated of Wapakoneta High School, Bowling Green State University and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry.
He and his wife, Kay, moved to Ada in 1981 and began practicing dentistry at that time.
Dr. Cody Miller will is joining Ada Family Dentistry upon Dr. Veit’s retirement. Dr. Miller graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2016.
The Ada Varsity Singers received a Gold Superior rating at The Medina Show Choir Showcase this past weekend. In addition to the group award Olivia Thomas won The Judges Choice Award and Grace Allison won Best Performer for Ada and Best Over All Performer for the entire competition. SPENCERVILLE - The Ada boys and girls track and field teams competed at the annual eight-team Spencerville Bearcat Relays meet last Friday.
Marion Local and host Spencerville tied for the girls team title with 84 points apiece. Columbus Grove was a close third with 78 points. Ada finished eighth with 19 points.
Columbus Grove tallied 134 points to win the boys crown. ML was second with 106, while Ada came in seventh with 15 points.
