Ada Gators launch swim season at Bluffton

Monday meet results attached

The Ada Gators swim team launched its season with a meet at Bluffton on Monday.

Bluffton defeated Ada 860-295. Bluffton girls’ won 387 to 183 and Bluffton boys’ won 473 to 112.

The Gators host Shawnee on Thursday, June 10, travel to Wapakoneta on Monday, June 14, and then host Findlay on Thursday, June 17.

Township Road 30 reopens

Liberty Township Road 30 between County Roads 65 and 75, east of Ada  is now opened. It was closed due to culvert installation.

Class of 2021 - before and after

Ada High School class of 2021 members recreated their Kindergarten pictures during the last week of school. The Icon will post these one at a time. VFW park-in-the-park returns on Saturday

Event features cars, trucks and bikes of all makes and sizes

Ada’s VFW second annual park-in-the-park car, truck and bike show takes place from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 12.

Last year’s event hosted nearly 100 vehicles. It is held at the War Memorial Park offering over six acres of shaded and open space and takes place rain or shine.

Registration is now underway. Here are the details:
• Registration fee is $10. Trophies are awarded for the top 20 plus 23 additional classes(courtesy 4 Seasons  Drive-Thru).

• Awards and raffles take place at 5 p.m.

• Wooden dog tags go to the first 200 entries, courtesy of Opa’s Woodworks. The event also includes a raffle for a Sarka stainless steel grill.
