It's James Bond in "Skyfall" now at the Ada Theatre

Skyfall (rated PG 13) is now showing at the Ada Theatre, according to James Curllis, owner.

Show times are:

• Friday and Saturday, 7 and 9:50 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday matinees, 4 p.m.
• Daily, 7 p.m.

In Istanbul, MI6 agents James Bond and Eve chase the mercenary Patrice, who has stolen a computer hard drive containing details of undercover agents placed in terrorist organisations by NATO states.

Wonder how Santa eats pancakes - find out Sunday morning

The Ada Bulldogs swim team will hold a breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, Dec. 9, from  7:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Ada VFW Post.  As a special holiday treat, Santa will be present at the breakfast from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

The breakfast is all you can eat pancakes and sausage. Tickets are $5.00 for eat in or carry out and children under 2 are free.

December is traditionally a month for giving generously to charities, friends and family. But it’s also a time that can have a major impact on the tax return you’ll file in the New Year.

Here are some “Season of Giving” tips from the IRS covering everything from charity donations to refund planning:

Contribute to Qualified Charities

If you plan to take an itemized charitable deduction on your 2012 tax return, your donation must go to a qualified charity by Dec. 31. Ask the charity about its tax-exempt status.

Steinbrunner, ONU women's cross country coaching staff honored by OAC

Senior Alison Steinbrunner was named OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year and the Ohio Northern women's coaches were named Women's Coaching Satff of the Year in voting done by the league's 10 head coaches.

This is the third straight season that Steinbrunner and the coaching staff have won these awards.

Steinbrunner posted a time of 22:12 at the OAC Championships, which was good for her fourth straight OAC Championship.

She is the only female to accomplish this feat in conference history. In addition, Steinbrunner finished second at the NCAA Championships.
