The Ada School District will hold its annual Veterans Day breakfast at 8 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 in the school cafeteria for all veterans and their families as well as active-duty service personnel who live, work, or worship within the boundaries of the school district. The Ada Citizens Scouting Committee will collect canned goods and nonperishable items on Saturday, Oct. 27. Those wishing to donate are asked to put the bag of items on their front porch by 9 a.m. on Saturday for the Scouts to pick and give to the Ada Food Pantry. No glass items, please.

WESTERVILLE - The Ohio Northern men's soccer program came up just short against Otterbein Wednesday evening, dropping a tightly-contested match with a 1-0 scoreline at Memorial Stadium in Westerville.

For the 250-plus spectators at Kerscher Stadium, Wednesday evening's pivotal OAC showdown between the No. 23-ranked Ohio Northern women's soccer team and the Otterbein Cardinals did not disappoint, treating fans to an exciting 2-2, double-overtime draw in a battle of the league's two remaining unbeaten programs.
Following the draw, both teams move to 13-2-1 overall and to 7-0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The two programs remain tied atop the conference standings with one match remaining in the regular season.
TIFFIN - The Ada boys soccer team had its solid season come to an end in the Div. III district semifinals as they lost to Van Buren 6-1 on a chilly Wednesday evening at Tiffin Frost-Kalnow Stadium.
The seventh-seeded Bulldog boys finish their season 11-7-1 after the defeat. The top seed Black Knights improved to 18-2 with the win.
Ada scored first to take a 1-0 lead. But VB tallied three goals in the final 14 minutes of the first half to seize control. The Black Kights added three more scores after intermisison to win going away.
