Women’s team
Sophomore Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) fired a final round 80 to rally from four shot back to claim Medalist honors to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team at the Otterbein Cardinal Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the NorthStar Golf Course.
Cranmer shot 85 on Saturday and carded an 80 on Sunday to finish with a 165, edging first round leader Madison Harsh of Capital by one shot.
Senior Caitlin Silva (Hilliard/Bradley) was 13th of 28 golfers with an 86-95—181, freshman Emily McLaughlin (Bellefontaine) was 16th with an 85-103—188, junior Taylor Daniel (Columbia City, Ind.) was 17th with a 91-98—189 and sophomore Haley Watkins (Bellefontaine) was 21st with a 104-96—200 for ONU.
The Polar Bears (20-5 overall) finished third out of four teams with a 347-369—716.
Otterbein won the team title with a 342-337—679, Capital was second with a 346-337—683 and Marietta was fourth with a 380-374—754.

Men ’s team
Senior Joshua Turich (Centerville) posted a top-10 finish to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team at the Otterbein Cardinal Classic on Saturday and Sunday at the NorthStar Golf Course.
Turich fired a 77-76—153 to finish 10th our of 34 golfers, but was only four shots off the 149s carded by co-Medalists Noah Iovino of Capital and Devin Wheeler of Marietta.
Senior Nick Anderson (Mason) was 13th with an 83-74—157, freshman Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) was 14th with a 79-79—158, junior Ryan Tatman (West Chester / Lakota East) tied for 20th with an 80-81—161 and sophomore Joe Slusher (Covington) was 26th with a 73-95—168 for Ohio Northern.
The Polar Bears (14-35-1 overall) tied for third out of four teams with a 309-310—619.
Otterbein won the team title with a 295-304—599, Capital was second with a Capital 305-306—611 and Marietta tied ONU for third with a 305-314—619.
The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday and Sunday when they host Tiffin in a 36-hole dual at Colonial Golfers Club.
