Junior Ryan Tatman (West Chester/Lakota East) finished 29th out of 87 golfers to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team to a ninth place finish at the Mount Saint Joseph Spring Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Golf Course at Yankee Trace.
The Polar Bears (14-33 overall) rallied from a 10th place standings after the first round to finish ninth out of 13 teams with a 336-323—659.
Tatman finished with a 16-over par 82-76—160, freshman Nolan Kimberly (Zanesville) tied for 32nd with an 86-75-116, senior Nick Anderson (Mason) tied for 45th with an 80-85—165 and freshman Ethan Smith(Chillicothe/Southeastern) tied for 64th with an 88-85—173.
Earlham (Ind.) won the team title with a 313-300—613, Trine (Ind.) was second with a 305-310—625 and Otterbein was third with a 313-303—616.
The Polar Bears will return to action April 6-7 at the Otterbein Classic.
