Alice A. Lawrence, 1929-2012

 

Services for Alice A. Lawrence will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home in Alger by Rev. Calvin Waugh. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.There will be no visitation.

She died at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at her residence in Alger.

She was born Feb. 26, 1929 in Hardin County to John E. and Anna (Brinkley) Farrar and they preceded her in death. She married Joseph W. Lawrence on Nov. 26, 1946 and he died Aug. 8, 1992.

Main St., Ada, announced Darla Crownhart as its top producing sales associates for 2011 based on $30,000-$59,999 Adjusted Gross Commission or 18-23 units. The Silver Sales Achievement Award recognizes Crownhart's outstanding sales production.

Hey, kids - there's a free youth football clinic April 29

A free youth football clinic will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m., April 29 at ONU's Dial Roberson Stadium. The program is open to children ages 6-13.

ONU honor students to present oral arguments

Ohio Northern University students in the Department of History, Politics and Justice’s “Appellate Advocacy” undergraduate honors course will present “Mandatory Life Without Parole Sentencing for Juvenile Offenders” in the Pettit College of Law Moot Court Room on Tuesday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m.

Spring band festival Sunday at Freed Center

The 36th annual ONU Spring Band Festival is set for 4 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at The Freed Center. 

For 36 years, some of the finest high school musicians in the state of Ohio have come to Ohio Northern for the Spring Band Festival. High school musicians and members of the ONU Symphonic Band will again work with an internationally renowned composer/conductor to create an afternoon of exciting music.
