What year are you at Ada High School?

I’m a senior.

Tell me about your crutches.

I’ve recently had reconstructive surgery on my right ankle. It was on Dec. 26 at Orthopedic Institute of Ohio in Lima. I’m glad I finally got it taken care of.

What are your plans after high school?

Ada Library plans monthly movie matinees and first up is To Kill a Mockingbird

The Ada Public Library is adding monthly movie matinee to it's schedule, according to Amanda Bennett, director.  The movies will fluctuate between family friendly and more adult offerings.

The first is Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2 p.m.  The movie will be To Kill a Mockingbird.  This movie is based on Harper Lee's best selling novel of the same name; stars Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, a small town lawyer who takes on racism in 1930's Alabama.

Myrna McCurdy called the 13th meeting (January 8th) of the 2012–2013 Kiwanis Year to order at 12:00 noon at the New China Restaurant, Ada.

The invocation was presented by Jon Umphress.

The birthday of member Ann Donnelly-Hamilton (January 5th) was noted.
The membership anniversaries of Claudia Crawford  (January 6, 1998;) and Saundra Neely (January 8) were also noted.

ReStore Community Center offers free tax clinic

Tax season is here and ReStore Community Center is offering help. ReStore and its trained Ohio Benefit Bank counselors are looking to make filing your Federal and State income tax returns easy. They are offering a free tax clinic for those households with a yearly income of $60,000 or less.

At the tax clinic, a household member will meet with an OBB counselor. The counselor will input tax information from the information provided by the household member. The completed form is automatically sent where it needs to go through OBB.
