APL coloring contest announced

Announced February 11: "We love coloring at Ada Public Library and so we thought it was the perfect time to do a coloring contest!"

Ages Kindergarten all the way to adults are welcome to participate. Stop in at the library and pick up a coloring sheet today!

Ada boys basketball blasts North Baltimore

ADA – The Ada High School boys basketball team rode a pressure defense and big middle quarters to a 50-25 rout win over non-conference foe North Baltimore on February 11.

After a slow start, the Bulldogs pressed their way to a momentum-changing 15-4 second quarter. They then started the third period strong to build a commanding 32-9 lead and cruised to victory.

The Bulldogs improved to 14-7 overall with the lopsided win. The game was postponed from Saturday due to icy roads.

Youthful NB fell to 6-15 after the defeat.

Bulldog girls basketball falls to late Allison rally

ADA - The Ada High School girls basketball team battled hard but succumbed to a fourth quarter rally and lost 45-37 to non-conference rival North Baltimore on February 11.

The game was postponed from Saturday due to icy road conditions, and was the finale of a boys/girls tripleheader vs. the Tigers.

For three periods, upset-minded Ada contained Tiger freshman standout guard Lacie Allison with a diamond and one defense. She came in averaging 24 and scored 26 points, 14 of which came in the decisive fourth period. 

Elementary students score 2,228 items for Souper Bowl

Students at Ada and Hardin Northern Elementary schools participated in their own Souper Bowl this past week. In partnership with the United Way of Hardin County,  Ada and Hardin Northern elementary students brought in canned goods for four of the county’s outreach programs.  Beatitudes (Ada), Helping Hands, The Neighborhood Opportunity Center and the New Hope Ministries Homeless Shelter (Kenton). 

The Super Bowl was a super success with the students bringing in 2,228 items. 

Ada Elementary January 2025 students of the month say, "Cheese!"

Armed with t-shirts and certificates, the Ada Elementary School Students of the Month for January 2025 showed their brightest faces with Principal Angela Maag.
