November 10 opening for "Habitat" at ArtSpace/Lima

Benefit evening for Habitat for Humanity November 16

ArtSpace/Lima will host a new exhibit featuring the works from 14 artists who define ‘habitat’ through their art. Each artist was asked to synthesize the meaning and interpret it through a medium that they work with. The artists featured in the exhibit are:

2023 Veterans Day ceremonies at Ohio Northern University will include a program with veteran James Lee, Petty Officer 3rd class. Lee served in the U.S. Navy from June 2006 to November 2011.

Lee began his military career at boot camp in Chicago Illinois at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes. During his time of service, he had two primary positions, a Bos'n Mate and an Aviation Ordnanceman.  While he was stationed in Guam on the USS Frank Cable AS40 he did multiple small deployments in the Pacific in support of submarine operations for 3 years.

Feedback forum: Public meeting on proposed U.S. 68/State Route 31 in Kenton

ODOT will present alternatives for proposed traffic flow improvement in Kenton

The city of Kenton and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will host an open house public meeting to present information and solicit public comment on alternatives for the proposed reroute of U.S. 68 and State Route 31.

The meeting will be held Thursday, November 16, at the Hardin County Municipal Courthouse – Veterans’ Hall, Suite 100A, located at 1 Courthouse Square, Kenton.

The meeting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with a formal presentation beginning at 6 p.m.

First reading of cat ordinance among November 6 council legislation

The Village of Ada council will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, November 6 with an agenda including two resolutions and six ordinances. Council meetings take place in chambers on the second floor of the Ada Municipal Building, 115 W. Buckeye.

The item having generated the most discussion and public involvement in recent meetings is the first reading of an ordinance adding language to Chapter 505 of the Codified Ordinances of Ada regarding cats.
