Lady Bulldog kickers to face rival in sectionals
By Cort Reynolds
FINDLAY - The Ada girls soccer team was seeded 10th at the drawing for the 11-team Div. III Findlay district held Sunday.
Ada (4-9) will play at sixth-seeded backyard rival Allen East (6-4-3) Tuesday, October 16 at 5 p.m. in first round sectional tournament play.
The victor will visit top-seeded Liberty-Benton Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m. in round two action.
In a scheduling rarity, Ada (2-3 NWC) will also host the Mustangs (3-1-1 NWC) in their final regular season game this Saturday, Oct. 13. Thus, they will face their local traditional rival twice in a four-day span.
"We've been playing inconsistently lately," said Ada head coach Doug Poling. "If we show up (vs. AE), I think it will be competitive. We will know more after playing them in our final regular season game."
The second round victor vs. L-B advances to the district semis at Findlay Wednesday, Oct. 24.
Ashland Crestview was seeded second in the drawing. Van Buren was voted third, while Mansfield Christian is seeded fourth
