Ada spikers seeded third at sectional

FINDLAY - The Ada volleyball team received a first-round bye after being seeded third at the 11-team Div. IV Findlay district drawing held Sunday.
The Lady Bulldogs (11-10) will play the Ridgemont/Cory-Rawson winner Thursday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m. in Arlington for a second round sectional match.
The Gophers (7-7) were seeded sixth, while the Hornets (5-12) were voted eighth.
If Ada defeats the Ridgemont/C-R survivor, they will advance to the district semifinals Monday, Oct. 22 vs. the winner between top-seeded Arlington and winless 11th seed USV (0-15). The match will begin at 6 p.m. in Findlay.
Ada lost at Arlington 25-16, 25-21 in a best-of-three match during a Saturday morning triangular on Sept. 1.
The district finals will be at Findlay Thursday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.
Arlington (15-4) was voted top seed with McComb second (14-5). Ada is the defending district champion
