Here's a puzzle. The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio offer a puzzle path in the Ada park for your summer entertainment. The walking path puzzle offers 10 clue signs. Each sign contains a clue that relates to the final answer. Collect all 10 clues to help solve the puzzle. When you walk across the stepping stones, check out each hand-painted design created by community members.
The Buy Ada First committee is hosting its second Music on Main event at downtown Ada this summer.
The Music on Main event is from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 12, at the Depot Park. Music will be provided by Kevin Plaugher – from the group Common Thread and WONB-94.9 FM, which includes music from the 1950s to today.
The Ada Kiwanis Club will hold a pre-sale Harlan’s chicken barbecue dinner during the event at the Depot Parking lot. Dinners are $7.50 and include one-half barbecue chicken, baked beans and applesauce. Drinks will also be available.
It’s one month away – the 100th anniversary of the Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic. The two-day event at the War Memorial Park takes place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9-10.

Ohio Northern University will host a prosecutor’s workshop, focusing on the principles of forensic DNA analysis, from July 28-30.
This 2.5-day event is designed for officers of the court who want to further their knowledge of the tests conducted daily by forensic DNA analysts. Participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a forensics training facility at ONU. Guest speakers will discuss the various areas of DNA analysis, from the lab to inside the courtroom.
