ADA - The Ada girls soccer team blew out visiting Northwest Conference foe Crestview 10-0 Tuesday evening.
Ada improved to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in NWC play with the lopsided win.
The Bulldogs raced to a 7-0 lead at halftime and rolled to the shutout win. Katie Butterfield scored three goals and Bella East added two to pace the attack.
Butterfield scored the first goal on a breakaway. East made it 2-0 moments later with a 30-yard blast into the net.
Butterfield made it 3-0 with a second goal off a Timberlyn Blankenship pass. East notched her second goal when she chipped in a shot over the Lady Knight keeper's head.
Butterfield assisted Julia Kamatali with the fifth goal on a through ball. Butterfield earned a first half hat trick when she finished off a crossing pass from Ella Poling.
Braelynn Dodge made it 7-0 with a goal off a Butterfield cross.
Hailey Callahan continued the onslaught in half two off a corner kick from East. Blankenship advanced the lead to 9-0 with a chip shot over the Crestview keeper.
Afia Okyere finished the scoring with a goal off a free kick from Poling.
"We got a good start by scoring early in the match," said Bulldog head coach Doug Poling. "Crestview was able to make a few runs at our goal during the match, but our defense was able to limit their scoring attempts."
Ada dominated in shots on goal by a 34-4 margin. McKenzie Long earned a shutout in goal and made four saves.
