Here's the latest Ada school announcements

Here are some of the announcements from the Ada school website pertaining to rescheulded events:

JUNIORS & SENIORS: The Lima News and Bluffton University are sponsoring the Leaders of Tomorrow program. All nominees will be recognized in a special section of the Lima News and invited to attend an awards recognition banquet! The 10 finalists and top honoree will receive special awards! Each school can nominate up to 3 juniors and 3 seniors. Apply by Jan. 31.

University's entrepreneurship program among finalists for national award

Ohio Northern University was one of four finalists for a United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Outstanding Specialty Entrepreneurship Program Award and was recognized at the USASBE annual conference in Fort Worth, Texas.

ONU made the top four from more than 50 nominations. Tammy Schakett, assistant professor of entrepreneurship at the Dicke College of Business Administration, attended the conference and nominated ONU. The three other finalists were the University of Maryland, University of Texas and University of Florida.

Several agriculture programs offered in Hardin County in February

Tuesday, Feb. 3 will be the first of four Sheep and Goat Webinar programs being offered at the Hardin County Extension office, in a coordinated effort with the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association.  

Roger A. High, The Ohio State University, will present the first program “The Management Continuum and Success during the Lambing/Kid Time Period” this week, starting at 7 pm. 

The Freed Center goes wild!

The Ohio Northern University Freed Center for the Performing Arts and Nationwide Insurance present “Jungle Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild Live” on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Take a trip to the wild side and join America’s favorite zookeeper, “Jungle Jack,” as he features many of his favorite animals, fascinating stories and footage from around the world. Taxing questions: ONU students to help with tax preparation

 

Taxpayers in Hardin and surrounding counties can find free income tax assistance from Ohio Northern University business and law students through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
