Few could answer this question because, I imagine, few have stumbled upon it.

This is found in a trail in the woods southwest of Fraternity Circle. Growth in the woods has been cut away, a path of cut logs to walk on extends just a few paces.

Looking up, one sees a "monument" of wood circles with colorful bottles attached.

There used to be a small brochure there telling about what the passerby has discovered and why the pathway is there, but the pamphlets are long gone.

Look for an opening in the northwest corner of the woods to find this hidden gem.

Maysville Methodist Church will hold its annual chicken barbecue from 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 24. Cost for 1/2 chicken, green beans, applesauce, roll and water is $8.50. Also available: pie, cookies, and drummies.

The church is located 1/2 mile south of 309 on County Road 15. The chicken is prepared by the Alger Lions Club.

A couple of high school students pose near a partially submerged golf Frisbee goal near the water retention basin at ONU. It will be a while before that game is played in spite of 24-hour pumping to lower the basin level because more storms were predicted for Sunday afternoon. Most of the campus remains high and dry even though huge amounts of rain have fallen over the past several weeks. (Monty Siekerman photo)
