Lena Smith, age 87 went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2017 at Hardin Hills Health Center, Kenton, Ohio. She was born on March 8, 1929 in Bell County, Kentucky.
Lena was a homemaker and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church of LaFayette.
Surviving are two sons: Jabe (Jenny) Smith of Corbin, KY and Theodore "Ted" (Margaret) Smith of Harrod; two daughters: Ora (Ellis) Puckett of Alger and Pat (Terry) Kessinger of Centertown, KY; and seventeen grandchildren,thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Beve Smith, Jr; her mother and father, John and Ada (Collins) Mason; her six brothers: Glenn Mason, Homer Mason, Otis Mason, Larry Mason, Roy Mason and Paul Mason and two sisters: Nellie Smith and an infant sister.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Rev. Jack Burns and Rev. Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery, Harrod.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hardin Hill Heatlh Center Activity Fund, Kenton, Ohio.
