Here's a first for the Ada HS wrestling program.
Ada High School wrestler Jarod Woodland was named co-wrestler of the year at Saturday's Northwest Conference wrestling meet held at Bluffton. Woodland, a senior, who wrestles at 195 shared the honor with Adam Deatrick, a Paulding senior, who wrestles at 170. Woodland is the first-ever Bulldog to receive the NWC wrestler title.

Mike Abbey of Allen East was voted by his peers as NWC Coach of The Year.
Woodland won the 195 class division. Ada wrestler, Chase Sumner, was champ of the 120-weight class. As a team, Ada finished sixth at the meet. Woodland and Sumner are only the second and third wrestlers in Ada history to win NWC champion.

Delphos Jefferson scored a total of 242 points to take the 2015 Northwest Conference Wrestling Championship in the event held at Bluffton High School.
Allen East and Bluffton tied for second in the tournament as each school totaled 228 points. Jefferson's title was their second overall NWC wrestling championship having previously won the league title in 2012.
