Several Ada HS grads are now ONU alums

Several Ada High School grads and students from neighboring communities are among 2014 graduates of Ohio Northern University. Here’s the list of area graduates:

Kyle Baker, son of Kent and Kathryn Baker, 502 Pleasantview St, Ada, received the Bachelor of Science in exercise physiology.

Baker was active in Phi Epsilon Kappa health, physical education and sports honorary, the men's football team, the Pre-Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Club and the men's basketball team. Baker is a graduate of Ada High School.

John Beaschler, son of Ronald and Christy Beaschler, 512 Conley Ave., Ada, received the Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering.

Beaschler was active in the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, the men's swimming and diving team, the President's Club, a select group of highly involved students, and the endurance-based Multi-Sport Club, which promotes fitness and training for events such as road races, duathlons, aquathons and triathlons. Beaschler is a graduate of Ada High School.

Morgan Dumbaugh, daughter of Neal and Amy Dumbaugh, 1599 County Road 50, Ada, received the Bachelor of Science in health education.

On campus, Dumbaugh was active in Phi Epsilon Kappa health, physical education and sports honorary, the women's basketball team and the Health and Physical Education, Human Performance and Sports Sciences Club. Dumbaugh is a graduate of Ada High School.  

Zachary Dunn, son of Charles and Laurie Dunn, 7373 Bellfontaine Rd, Harrod, graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Bachelor of Science in chemistry.

On campus, Dunn was active in the student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society, Mortar Board scholastic honorary, the Society of Physics Students, the Astrononmy Club, Sigma Pi Sigma physics honorary, the Pi Gamma chapter of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon chemistry honor society, Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honorary, the campus chapter of the Secondary Education Society, which is recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honorary, the student chapter of the National Education Association, Phi Kappa Phi scholastic honorary, and Phi Eta Sigma scholastic honorary for freshmen students.

Michael Hamlin, son of Rickey and Brenda Hamlin, Dola, received the Bachelor of Science in manufacturing technology. Hamlin is a graduate of Hardin Northern High School.

Travis Hertenstein, son of Scott Hertenstein, 611 S Johnson St., Ada, received the Bachelor of Music in music performance.

On campus, Hertenstein was active in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the fraternity for men in the music profession, Kappa Kappa Psi honorary for bandsmen, the College Democratic Club, and the campus chapter of the Ohio Collegiate Music Educators Association.
Hertenstein is a graduate of Memorial High School.

Bradley Nungester, son of Paul and Mindy Nungester, 1006 Red Bluff Rd, Atlanta, received the Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice.
On campus, Nungester was active in the Ohio Northern University Veterans Organization, Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed service fraternity, the Model United Nations program, Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international honor society dedicated to the study of geography and Delta Sigma Phi social fraternity. Nungester is a graduate of Allen East High School.

Joshua Rouch, son of David and Gretchen Rouch, 505 N Gilbert St., Ada, graduated Cum Laude and received the Doctorate in pharmacy.

On campus, Rouch was active in Habitat for Humanity, Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honorary, the Academy of Student Pharmacists, the Unlimited Sharing/Ultimate Faith Outreach Deputation Team, Rho Chi Society pharmacy honorary, Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy honorary, Christian Pharmacy Fellowship International, Phi Eta Sigma scholastic honorary for freshmen students, Mortar Board scholastic honorary, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the men's football team. Rouch is a graduate of Ada High School.

Ryan Sarver, son of Ginger Sarver, 5267 Township Road 84, Alger, received the Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.

On campus, Sarver was active in the Astronomy Club. Sarver is a graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School.
