Ada and most Rite Aid pharmacies in Ohio to close

The Ohio Captial Journal  has confirmed that most Rite Aid pharmacies in Ohio will close. Employees at stores to close, including those in Ada, are told not to speak to the media.

The date of the Ada store closure has not been announced, but employees are confirming the closure off the record.

The Ohio Capitol Journal reports that prescriptions will be transferred to Walgreens. The closest Walgreens to Ada is in Lima, 12.8 miles away.

Charles E. Coates was a farmer

Charles "Charlie" E. Coates, 84, passed away June 20, 2024, at Vancrest of Ada.

Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival creates pre-order merch for 2024

The Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival Committee will be selling commemorative t-shirts, crewnecks, and hoodies for the 2024 event, which takes place on Saturday, August 24.

The design is inspired by Ada, Ohio Northern University and Wilson colors, bringing them all together and representing the special aspects that make Ada "Football Town USA."

The online shop will be open until Friday, July 26. There is an option for shipping direct to the purchaser and there will be one pickup day, Saturday, August 17 from 9:00 a.m. - Noon at Four Season's Drive Thru.
