Austin James Weber, 19 of Ada, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 5:35 p.m. at Akron General Hospital as a result of a longboarding accident.
He was born on June 20, 1994, in Lima, Ohio to Carl J. and Mary Lou (Illig) Weber who survive in Ada.
Austin was a sophomore at the University of Akron. He was a 2012 graduate of Ada High School and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Ada. He was an organ donor.
Also surviving are: two sisters, Kelsey Weber of Newport, Calif., and Holly Weber of Centerville, and a brother, Alex Weber of Ada; maternal grandmother, Lucille Illig of Landeck; paternal grandfather, Robert Weber of Delphos.
Other familiy surviviors include 15 aunts and uncles, 62 cousins, and friends from his childhood home in Elida, the Ada and Lima communities, and the University of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James A. Illig, paternal grandmother, Rita Weber, and a cousin, Matthew Lisboa.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, at the English Chapel on the campus of Ohio Northern University, Ada,with Father Dave Young officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada. A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
