Hardin Hustle 5K Walk/Run
The Hardin Hustle 5K Walk/Run and Kid's Fun Run will take place on August 17 with race to begin at 9am and Kid's Fun Run, ages 12 and under, to begin at 8:15am. Registration will be from 7:30am-8:45am the day of the race. The course is a paved rural road, out and back. Mile splits. Water available along route. Kids Fun Run entry fee $5. Kids can participate in a 1/2 mile or 1 mile race. Entry fee includes a moisture wicking t-shirt. Entry fee for Adults varies depending on the type of shirt selected. Summer Concert Series with Kenton Nursing & Rehab
Join Kenton Nursing & Rehab for the finale in their Summer Concert Series at 117 Jacob Parrot Blvd. There will be complimentary food and beverages. You're welcome to bring your own lawn chairs. Rhodes State offering classes
Rhodes State College is now offering Mitsubishi Certified Training coursework in the area of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
We have partnered with Mitsubishi Electric Company to become the only Mitsubishi Certified Training Center in Ohio.
Our PLC training is identical in quality, content and delivery as the coursework previously only offered at Mitsubishi’s Headquarters in Chicago, Ill.

Summer Spruce Up Rummage Sale
Now through August 26, the Arlington Good Samaritan Society is now accepting donations for the next Summer Spruce Up Rummage Sale. Bring your unwanted items to the Arlington Good Samaritan Society, 100 Powell Dr., Arlington, Ohio, Monday through Friday 8am-4pm. Accepting good, clean, saleable items. Rhodes State & WCOMC Partner for programs
The 2013-14 LEAN Series from Rhodes State College, the West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership will begin September 11.
Each program in this series will run 8 am to 12 noon at Rhodes State College and cover the following topics:

· October 9 – LEAN Events
· November 6 – Kaizen Event
· December 4 – Value Stream Mapping

Supervisor Leadership Series set to begin
Registrations are being accepted for the 2013-14 Husky Lima Refinery/West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium Supervisor Leadership series.
The series will be held on the third and fourth Thursdays of the month (except November which will be on the second and third Thursdays), 8 am to 12 noon, in 120 Keese Hall, Rhodes State College.
Michael Borden will return as instructor for this series.

Area Farmers’ Markets
· Kenton Farmers’ Market will continue on Saturdays from 9am-12noon through September. The Market will be in the same location as previous years on W. Columbus Street between Detroit Street and Market Street. There will be a minimal booth fee to cover the cost of advertising. Please contact Lynn Hoover at 419-674-4580 for more information.
· Forest Farmers’ Market is held on Saturdays; new hours are 10am to 1pm in the Forest-Jackson Library Parking Lot. Also new this year, currently one vendor is accepting Senior Nutrition Program and WIC. In addition, one vendor will be accepting debit cards!
· Ada Farmers’ Market will be held every Thursday in the Community Health Professional’s Parking lot from 4pm-7pm. Contact Deb Curlis at 419-634-7443 for more information.
· Hardin Memorial Hospital will continue their Farmers’ Market season on Thursdays from 11:30AM to 3:30PM in the northwest parking lot. There is no charge to be a part of the market.
