Turns out that Sal Walker and his band April Shortcake, currently rising in the country music charts, will not perform this summer in Ada – or for that matter, will never perform here.
Sad to say, but the Jamie Hall story (click here to read it) about helping a stranded group of musicians on State Route 235 north of Ada was simply a figment of our imagination that occurred hours before the clock passed midnight from March 31 to April 1.
Republicans might call it fake news. We have no idea if any Democrat even read the story.

In light of the current coronavirus quarantine and online schooling, it seemed that the annual Ada High School Interclass contest was destined to be cancelled for the first time in over 100 years.
Considering the tradition survived two world wars and The Great Depression, among other newsworthy events, we could not let that happen.
However, thanks to the magic of technology, the show will go on.

Ohio Secretary of State's office released the postcard that Ohio voters will soon receive as part of the effort to complete the 2020 Ohio primary election.
In-person voting on March 17 was blocked by an order from Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton to combat the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19, following an announcement by Governor Mike DeWine on March 16 that Ohioans over the age of 65 should remain home and barring gatherings of greater than 50 people.
