Eosinophilic esophagitis, or “EoE” for short, is a condition that affects the esophagus, the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach. In cases of EoE, the esophagus has cells called eosinophils.
Eosinophils are not normally found in the esophagus. They are cells associated with allergies. The exact cause of EoE is unknown but thought to be related to food allergies.
Ada Grooming officially opened this month by Deedee Jenkins, a certified pet groomer, and it is now accepting appointments to groom dogs. The business also opened in March, but was unable to service pets until this week due to state required business closing.
The business is operating in the rear of 419 N. Johnson St., Ada.
Jenkins is new to Ada, but her partner, Kevin Wildman, is a 1985 Ada High School graduate and a 1989 Ohio Northern University graduate.
Ada Grooming handles dogs of all sizes and offers full grooming services.
Jenkins holds a dog groom certification, which includes completion of 150 hours of externship.
Ada High School announced its class of 2020 valedictorians and salutatorian this week.

The garden center north of Ada offers several options for customers ranging from curbside pickup to shopping in the greenhouse. New Leaf follows Covid-19 guidelines. Hours are Mondays to Fridays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays noon to 4 p.m.
