But, a great example of what happens when a small town puts on a festival

Food, kid's games, pony rides, craft vendors, queen candidates...it all adds up to an interesting fall afternoon in a small northwestern Ohio village.

Colllins walked along the Harvest and Herb Festival parade line up as floats arrived, selfies were taken, bands tuned up, and participants spent time awaiting for the parade to start.

These photos reflect people just being themselves.

Ohio Northern junior Lydia Cranmer (Farmington Hills, Mich./Ladywood) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of Sept. 17-23.

Cranmer led the ONU women's golf team to the team at the Bluffton HCAC Fall Invitational last weekend.

She was seventh out of 76 golfers with a 20-over par 80-84—164 on the par-72, 5817-yard course.

This marks the sixth time in her career and the second time this season that Cranmer has been named OAC Women's Golfer of the Week.

The Polar Bears will return to action Saturday-Sunday at the OAC Fall Championships at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.

 

Homecoming Oct. 4-6 weekend

Ohio Northern University will give it the ‘ol college try with a full slate of activities on tap for Homecoming weekend Oct. 4-6.

The annual event offers a special time for former students to return to their college home, relive cherished memories, visit with longtime friends and reconnect with their alma mater.

Ada schools have a 2-hour early dismissal for students today, Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Students are dismissed at 1:10 p.m. [K-3] and 1:30 p.m. [4-12].  Offices close at 1:45 p.m.
