Have you ever done an internet search on your name?
Apparently, I won a beauty contest in Omaha in 2005, and received a degree in Applied. Mathematics and Statistics from John Hopkins University in 2009, according to a Google search. (Note - this was not actually me, but someone with my name.)
Have you ever typed in your child's name and seen what an internet search yields about them? Go a step farther and look at the images associated with your child's name.
The sheer amount of data, readily available, via the internet, is astounding... and a little terrifying.
Men’s soccer
The Ohio Northern men's soccer team put on an offensive clinic Saturday night at Kerscher Stadium to extend its win streak to 10 games. The Polar Bears defeated Muskingum 8-0 to improve to 11-2-1 overall and 3-0-0 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
The Ada Kiwanis Club will hold its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Ada High School cafeteria.
Club members will serve Peter Previte's homemade spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and drinks. One may eat-in or carry-out.

While members of the Rotary Club of Ada may not have traveled to El Salvador or Zambia, they have played a role in bringing needed medical equipment and supplies to these countries.
Through a program known as MESA (Medical Equipment and Supplies Abroad) Rotarians in the northwest Ohio District 6600 have collected and distributed everything from ambulances to wheelchairs to countries in Central America and Africa.
