College of Law presents speech for veteran, sexual assault survivor

Kori Cioca, a coast guard veteran and sexual assault survivor, will be the guest speaker at an Ohio Northern University Law Career Services Brown Bag Brief in the Celebrezze Moot Court Room on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 11:30 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be provided.

Cioca, a U.S. Coast guard veteran, was sexually assaulted and raped while serving in the military. She was the lead witness in a landmark lawsuit that attempted to bring awareness about sexual assault in the military and to ensure safety for active-duty service members.

Men's and Women's Soccer raise close to $900 in during Kicks for a Cause

With the conclusion of October and breast cancer awareness month, the soccer programs at Ohio Northern can mark the latest "Kicks for a Cause" event as a success.

The fourth Annual Kicks event which took place on Oct. 12, during the men's and women's matches against Baldwin Wallace, was able to raise close to $900.

All of the proceeds have been donated to support the continued efforts of the American Cancer Society.

ONU to celebrate veterans with wreath-laying ceremony Nov. 11

Ohio Northern University will celebrate the contributions of American service members with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Henry Soloman Lehr statue adjacent to James F. Dicke Hall on Monday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The ceremony will feature reflections concerning veterans from guest speaker Paul Hartman, ONU assistant professor of operations research and supply chain management, who served in the Air Force for 20 years before retiring from the Pentagon as a major in 2007.
