Anything on Wheels Poker Run planners "get things done"

Brett and Dana Walters are  ReStore June Volunteers of the Month.

Their most recent endeavor was planning and coordinating the First ever Anything on Wheels Poker Run which was held last Saturday. This event was coordinated by Brett and Dana.

Because of their hard work, caring attitudes, and determination to get things done, the Poker Run was a huge success.

Frank Evilsizer, Jr., loved hunting and fishing

Frank V. Evilsizer, Jr., of Ada died at 3:31 a.m. July 1, 2012 at Bluffton Hospital.  He was born Oct. 9, 1987 in Lima to Frank and Sandy Dunifon Evilsizer Sr. and they survive near Ada.  He was married to Kaitlin Gossard and she survives.
 
Evilsizer was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.  He was a member of the Bluffton and Hog Creek Sportsmen’s Clubs.  He was also a Michigan football fan.

Something new - Our next membership committee meeting will be held on July 18th.  Bright and early at 7:30 a.m. David Dellifield has invited us to have breakfast and our meeting at McIntosh Center.  Please RSVP to me when you know if you can attend.

ONU wrestling season opens Nov. 17

The Ohio Northern wrestling team will open its 2012-13 season on Nov. 17 at the Olivet (Mich.) Duals tournament.

The Polar Bears, under 25th-year head coach Ron Beaschler, will open their home schedule on Dec. 1 with the 32nd annual ONU Invitational.

Northern will begin the defense of its Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title on Jan. 15 with a home dual meet against Muskingum.

ONU will also travel to Mount Saint Joseph, Washington & Lee (Va.) and NCAA Division I foe Davidson (N.C.) for non-conference duals and will compete in tournaments at Indianapolis, Ind., Williamsport, Pa., Alma, Mich., and Wheaton, Ill.

AEP reports western Ohio among hardest hit in Ohio

AEP provided the Icon with the following power restoration update as of the morning of July 2:

Here is the latest outage restoration update available.  We continue to
work hard and safe to get power restored to all our customers and have done so with over 200,000 being put back into service.  Last night's storm caused a temporary set back, and continued unstable weather creates the possibility for more outages, but we will stick with this until we're done.
