Ada's "leading jeweler"

A jewelry store in Ada? Not just any jewelry store a "leading jeweler." That's what E.H. Deselms said about his store that once upon a time was located on Main Street Ada. Here's a colorized post card advertising the business.

Think Spring!

Yes, there's snow on the ground and it's March. But New Leaf offers this word of encouragement: "Think Spring!"

Lots of Ada involvement in Saturday's tumbling and cheer exhibition

Ada High School varsity basketball cheerleaders will participate in a Hardin County Family YMCA Made To Move Tumbling and Cheer Exhibition on Saturday in Kenton. The event takes place at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to Ada's cheerleaders 70 tumblers (ages 3-18) and the Hardin Heat Cheerleaders will participate. This event is free and open to the public.

Hardin Heat cheerleaders will be holding a 50/50 drawing, a prize raffle, and accepting donations at the door to help cover traveling expenses for the U.S. Finals competition. If you would like to make a donation, please contact the number below. 

Hardin Chamber economic development forum March 21

Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance  will hold it's next meeting on March 21 at Henry's Restaurant.

The program will feature an Economic Development Forum with updates from Brice Beaman, Hardin County Commissioner, Randy Manns, Mayor of Kenton, Mark Doll, Hardin County Director of Regional Planning, John Hohn, Director of Economic Development, Hardin County Chamber & Business Alliance.

Presenters will talk about the current status of economic development in Hardin County and their plans for future economic growth followed by Q&A.

Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., program begins at 7:45 a.m..

Cost for the breakfast is $10.

Kenton Lions Club presents 'Lionpalooza'

The Kenton Lions Club presents the 61st Anniversary of the Lion's Roar 'Lionpalooza' on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m.

All shows are in the Kenton Middle School Auditorium.

Tickets are available from any Kenton Lions Club Member or at Kenton Ace Hardware.

Kenton High School presents The Music Man

Kenton High School Vocal Music Department will present The Music Man on Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m.  

All shows are in the Kenton Middle School Auditorium.

Tickets are available at the KHS office, or at the door the day of the show.   Adults $7, Sr Citizens $6, students $5.
