FROM ADA BULLDOGS FACEBOOK – Ada High School junior, Paige Cole, is doing a independent study in Home Economics, sewing masks. Paige donated these to front line mental health workers in Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties.
Vancrest of Ada residents tackled social distancing by creating a video that could easily win an Academy Award for short subjects.
A three-minute video on Vancrest’s Facebook(once on the Facebook, scroll down to find the video) features nearly 30 residents with messages to their families and loved loves.
Sara Vordermark, assistant administrator, tells the Icon that while it’s been a crazy month, everyone is so understanding with the situation.
Dear 4-H members, families, volunteers, and supporters:
It is with a heavy heart that I share this news with you.
Due to ongoing health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to cancel all Ohio State University Extension in-person programming through July 6.
This includes all 4-H programs, activities, and events. Additionally, we’ve made the very difficult decision to cancel all 4-H camps through Aug. 31.
Although in-person programming is canceled, we will continue to offer virtual 4-H experiences.
The Ada Icon's bear hunt will post locations of the cuddly little guys perched in windows around town and in the countyside.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, viewers have reported addresses (and some photos) of four teddy bears. We plan to post the bears on a map for viewers to cruise town and discover these for themselves.
