Vancrest residents' video - next best thing to being there
Vancrest of Ada residents tackled social distancing by creating a video that could easily win an Academy Award for short subjects.
A three-minute video on Vancrest’s Facebook (once on the Facebook, scroll down to find the video) features nearly 30 residents with messages to their families and loved loves.
Sara Vordermark, assistant administrator, tells the Icon that while it’s been a crazy month, everyone is so understanding with the situation.
“Vancrest is taking every precaution to keep residents safe,” she said. “No visitors are allowed at this time. We are also not allowing pick ups or drop offs of non-essential items.”
Adding, “We sanitize mail that comes in and every employee gets temperatures monitored daily.”
Sara encourages Icon viewers to follow Vancrest on Facebook for photos, videos and other updates.
“We can put messages to your family members on a slide show that residents can view on channel 3 of their TVs,” she said.
“To do that send photos with messages to our Facebook messenger or call 419-558-1379 to set up other ways to send photos,” she said. “ We are doing Facetime phone calls by appointment.”
To set those up, persons should ask for Kayla or Sara when calling Vancrest.
