ADA__The Ohio Northern women's lacrosse team raced out to an early 10-0 lead and hung on for a 16-13 non-conference victory over Albion (Mich.) on a wet and windy Tuesday evening, March 26.
McGUFFEY__The Ada track and field teams competed in a triangular meet with Upper Scioto Valley and Indian Lake to start off their season at USV on Monday, March 26. Indian Lake won both the boys and girls triangular meet, with Ada second in each and host USV a distant third.
On March 24, 2024, the Ada Barnyard Farmers had a meeting for Quality Assurance at 3 pm. We first talked about making an appointment for blood work for anyone who was going to show chickens this year.
After that, we had Bella Wagner do a health report about the importance of wearing Solar Eclipse glasses to protect your eyes from the sun.
We then had 3 demonstrations, Bella Wagner doing a demonstration about how to make stress balls with balloons. We then also had Waylon Clemons showing the group how to tie a tie and Amelia Clemons showed us how to grow celery.
COLUMBUS__Small Nation Project Manager Ann Donnelly was recently announced as a 2024 Leadership Ohio Fellow at a March 20 press conference at the Ohio State House. Leadership Ohio connects diverse leaders from across Ohio to promote positive change. Thirty-five leaders were selected from public and private sectors and will convene to impact future policy.

ADA__The Ada High School softball team opened its 2024 campaign with a decisive 14-0 shutout over county rival Hardin Northern Monday, on March 25.
The Bulldogs start out 1-0 with the non-league victory.
The Polar Bears, under new head coach Rob Overs, who served as an Ada assistant the past two seasons, are 0-1.
Junior Jenna Bassitt struck out 14 Polar Bears and allowed just one hit in hurling a five-inning shutout.
“The pitching was good,” Ada head coach Jeff Bassitt. “It is nice to get the first win, but we still have a lot of work to get done. Hardin Northern has a nice young team with a lot of potential.”
