The Ada Family Center will have a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24. The Sunday service will be at 10:30 a.m. and will include communion. The church meets at McIntosh Center on campus. Ray Hadley is pastor.

Alger First United Methodist plans a Christmas Eve service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24. Plans for the service are tentative. The Christmas program has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 8. There will be a carry-in at 6 p.m. with the program beginning at 7 p.m.

Bethel Church of Christ will have a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve on Saturday, Dec. 23. Worship on Christmas Day will be at 10 a.m. Bethel is located at 4014 CR 304, which is old route 30. Brandon Mayden is pastor.

The ballet is about Young Clara who invites us inside her imagination with The Nutcracker, a Columbus tradition since its world premiere in December 1974. Choreographed by former artistic director Gerard Charles, this magic-filled ballet draws families with its merry characters, gorgeous set, elegant costuming—and a good dose of holiday nostalgia.

Emmetta L. "Emmy" Bickle, 46, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, at 5:07 a.m. at her residence in Dunkirk.
She was born on May 25, 1970, in Lima, Ohio to Gary Jan and Barbara (Johnson) McCurdy who preceded her in death. On Oct. 16, 1999, Emmy married Damon K. Bickle and he survives in Dunkirk.
Emmy worked as a cake decorator. She was a member of the Bridgeport Church, Dunkirk.

The elected officials, staff and volunteers of the Village of Ada would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas on Sunday and a Happy Holiday Season!
Employees of the Village have been given Monday, Dec. 26 and Monday, Jan. 2 to celebrate the holidays. Village offices and the police department lobby will be closed to the public on those two days. Water payments may be made via Visa/MasterCard/Discover on the village’s website www.adaoh.org.
