Last chance. Who Am I? The Icon posted this photo with the following hints earlier this week. The answer is at the bottom of this story. Just in case you are still in the dark, here are the hints:

Rolland C. "Oars" Anspach, age 73, died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at 6:43 p.m. at the Celina Manor Nursing Home, Celina.

He was born on March 11, 1940 in Ada, Ohio to Charles N. and Goldie M. (Kissling) Anspach and they preceded him in death.

Rolland retired after working as an autobody repairman. He attended Beaver Chapel Congregational Christian Church, Celina. He was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.

Two movies will be playing throughout this week at Ada Theater.  Starting today and running through Thursday, Sept. 19 will be "Elysium" and "Mortal Instruments".

Elysium (R)  showtimes are Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 p.m. each evening with Monday through Thursday shows at 7 p.m.

Mortal Instruments (PG-13) showtimes will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday only shows at 7 p.m. each evening.

 

Ohio Northern University senior John Curiel, a political science major from Crystal Lake, Ill., participated in a Summer Research Academy at Texas A&M University over the summer.

Curiel was just one of 15 undergraduate students to be selected for the program, which is aimed at improving students’ chances of succeeding in competitive graduate programs as well as highly selective careers.

The Summer Research Academy is a five-week, research-intensive pilot Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program, aimed at expanding and enhancing the undergraduate research experience of students in political science through analysis and research methods training.

Ohio Northern University has received an Honor Award in the University and College Grounds category of the 2013 Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) Green Star Awards program.

ONU will be recognized during the 2013 School of Grounds Management and GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., from Oct. 23-26, 2013.

This program recognizes the grounds manager and staff responsible for maintaining a well-manicured landscape year round. Grand, Honor and Merit Awards are offered in 15 categories, covering all types of private, public commercial and industrial landscapes.

Amvets Post 1994, 417 W. Espy St., Kenton, will hold an all-you-can-eat fish dinner Friday, Sept. 20.

It includes all you can eat fish, baked beans, potato salad and roll for a $7 donation. The event is open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and again from 5 to 7 p.m. for dinner.

Becky Neville, Century 21 Beacon Realty, Ada, announces an open house of a listing at 715 W. Lima Ave., Ada. The open house is from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15.

This week Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St., Bluffton, announces new hours. During the week the café will be open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed Tuesdays). On Saturday and Sunday, hours will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On Saturday, Sept. 21, a new fall menu will be offered, including fresh autumn produce, old favorites and the signature house-made baked goods.

In October Mustard Seed will open for dinner.  Watch for Friday and Saturday evening hours.

Apollo Career Center programs that offer services to the public will soon be opening. These programs offer students hands-on experience in customer service in addition to the industry skills  needed for their career fields.
