Who said you can’t have a bright future with an Art & Design degree?

Ohio Northern University has a strong history of nurturing budding artists in their craft, launching hundreds of successful careers. To carry on this legacy while also modernizing its program offerings, the Getty College of Arts & Sciences has launched a new and improved major combining key learning outcomes from two related fields of study – studio arts and graphic design.

James F. Dicke to deliver 2025 Spotts Lecture on February 24

Ohio Northern University’s T.J. Smull College of Engineering is pleased to welcome to campus James F. “Jim” Dicke, III, president of Crown Equipment Corporation, as the featured speaker for the 2025 Spotts Lecture.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will be held Monday, February 24, 2025, at 7 p.m. in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts.

Dicke’s lecture is titled, “Every Innovation Matters: How Each Idea, Big or Small, Can Impact Corporate Success.”

ONU students give back in spirit of MLK Service Day

In the spirit of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, Ohio Northern University students came together this week to give back to their community, focusing on those who have given so much throughout their lives—the elderly.

“What better way to give back than to support those who have sacrificed and contributed throughout their lives?” said John Copes, IV, accounting and marketing major, AmeriCorps member, and coordinator of ONU’s Student Resource Center.

Students assembled and hand-delivered more than 90 care packages for residents of Vancrest of Ada, a local assisted living and elderly care home, brightening their day with thoughtful gifts and personal connections.
